The Shelling of the DMZ was the first engagement of the Song Initiative during the events of Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.
Battle
Upon the mercenary's arrival in North Korea, the Demilitarized Zone was hot with artillery strikes and roadblocks set up by the North Korean army. By the time that the mercenary arrived at the Allied headquarters, it was holed and several artillery bombardments killed patrolling soldiers.
Samuel Garrett, the commanding Allied officer in the DMZ, gave authorization for the mercenary to attack the fortified enemy positions and verify the commander of the enemy, Jin ho-Yong. The mercenary broke through the roadblocks that the enemy set up, and either killed or captured the "Two of Clubs". Then, the mercenary officially worked for the Allied Nations.
