The Scorcher is a vehicle bought from Eva in the PMC after collecting a certain amount of Spare Parts. It is similar to the Bogden Buggy but instead of a third seat it has 4 Fuel-Air missiles. It is great on off-road terrain and can reach reasonable speeds. It also carries a passenger operated grenade launcher mounted next to the driver's seat. It is best for 'hit and run' purposes because of the low ammunition capacity the vehicle has.

TacticsEdit

This vehicle is not one that should be kept for very long, the armament is very powerful but scarce in terms of ammunition. This makes it very practical for very quick attacks on a few small positions or a single large one, then ditching the vehicle. The thermobaric missiles will destroy just about anything that they can cover with the gas cloud (exceptions are Missile Destroyers, bunkers and hardened bridges).

For the GL to be useful, it is best used during co-op gameplay with a real player because an AI gunner will fire on the move and will increase the chances of the player driving the vehicle into the gunner's grenades.

TriviaEdit

  • The description says it is armed with Anti-Tank Missiles, this is partially incorrect because the AGM-114 missile series are classified as anti-armor missiles, yet the AGM-114N is a thermobaric (or Fuel-Air Explosive) missile. In game, the "Anti-Tank missiles" actually perform like Fuel-Air RPGs.
  • If an Allied soldier gets inside the GL passenger seat of this vehicle he will not fire the GL even though he is holding on to it, instead he will fire whatever rounds from the gun he is holding, this can be helpful if he is holding a rocket launcher.
  • The Scorcher is known as the 'Jackal' in the PlayStation 2 version of the game.
