This boat is fairly easy to find in combat in Lake Maracaibo, near Isla de la Fortelaza, the Pirate Isles and several small rivers in the Amazonas and sometimes found docked at small VZ outposts near water. These boats are very well armed compared to all the armed inflatables, Universal Petroleum's Warhorse Patrol Boat and the People's Liberation Army of Venezuela's Prestes Patrol Boat. The Piranha's mobility is somewhere in between the two former, it is very good at turning on the spot.

The Piranha Patrol Boat is armed with two .50 caliber guns; one forward facing, the other rear facing, as well as a dual 20mm cannon on the nose.

Tactics[]

This boat can be used if the player has to attack lightly armored boats. The frontal and rear machine guns are good for co-op; one player drives while the other mans the gun. The frontal 20mm cannons can easily shred any lightly armored boats with ease, they are also very effective at damaging light helicopters, and the only issue is their limited coverage. The armor is relatively very light type 2, it will resist light weapons, however it will not withstand a heavy firefight involving .50cals or anything greater.

It is worth noting that the Piranha Patrol Boats do not get locked-on by Anti-Tank Guided Missiles giving them an advantage at evading attack helicopters. This is not known if this is done deliberately or simply a glitch.
