Medivac is a feature in both Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction[]

Medivacing in Playground of Destruction will transport the player to either of the Allied MASHs, depending on whether they are in the Northern or Southern Province. This can be especially useful when the player bites off a little more than they can chew, and need to exit the area quickly.

On death, the player's character will be automatically medivacced to the MASH at the expense of the player's funds.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames[]

In Mercenaries 2, the medivac is called medevac. Medivacing is once again a feature in World in Flames. However, since there are no MASHs in World in Flames, the player will be transported to the Villa instead. Other than the location change, the Medivac feature is exactly the same.

Medivacing costs $10 000, usually a relatively cheaper price compared to what it would cost for the player to re-obtain their previous weapons after death. It is a good idea to use it when the risk of death is very high, a good example of this would be that the player has 1-3% health and is out in the open against an overwhelming enemy firepower. Players should consider using it more if they are carrying non re-obtainable weapons such as a Hunting Pistol or PDW. Medivacing also cancels any current contract.

On death, the player's character will be automatically medivacced to the villa, costing $10 000 and the loss of all weapons carried at the time. The player will then automatically be equipped with a loaded Pistol (SIG P226) with no reserve ammunition.
